Hello fellow modders.
Newbie question. I did search the forum, could not find the answer. Sorry if this was asked before.
In LOG2 Editor, the tilest can be "lowered" or "raised" to create a multi-level room. Once you've got a number of levels (raised and/or lowered), you can follow your work by the changing colors and the dotted lines surrounding the tiles.
But how do you know at which level you are actually working? The toolbrush allows you to "paint" your desired height, but when placing objects, how do you know at which level to position them?
So far, I've been using "trial and error" by playing the level, but there's got to be a more productive way ....
SO: I do I get the actual "Z" at which a given tile is located ?
Thanks all
Knowing your elevation in tilesets
Re: Knowing your elevation in tilesets
I had asked about adding an eye-dropper tool for that, but there are [were] already two hotkeys defined for it; the comma, and the period. When the mouse is over a tile, (in tile mode), pressing the comma or period will apply the current (under the cursor) tile and elevation settings to either the left or right mouse buttons ~respectively. (And once set, you can read them in the settings, across the top.)

Thank you Isaac! I've been tearing my hair out over this seemingly missing feature! Finally map editing becomes a little easier.
