Sorry if this has been asked before - but I don't want to loiter in the Spoilers section too long.

Pit Traps - worth falling in them all the time ?
You may think you are clever avoiding them - but I saw some goodies so far ( but I'm only on level 3)
Are they deadly ? Always a way out ? Always worth 'falling for' ?

Yes. They are worth falling into. There are all kinds of secrets in those pits. Just be sure to be at full health and ready for a fight when you take a dive.
