Near the hall of flames place there a secret brick with a symbol on it. It leads down to a stairway that ends at a wooden door and an incription called 'Fighters Challenge'...any ideas? Can't get that damn door open

this is what worked for me... not sure if it will work for you, since i've heard lots of crazy talk from lots of people. if nothing happens... try coming back sometime later

There are theories that you need: or or or a combination of any of those before you try to do what i wrote before.

No one is entirely sure.

I have done all 3 of those and fighters door is still closed. Currently been to floor 9 but still finishing floor 8.

hmm, Ive got nex and the fire sword but still going through 8, messy

this was solved in another thread. If ANYTHING is on the ground in front of the gate, it will never open. Clear the ground, go back up and come back down. Should fix the problem.

I had to pretty much complete this level, secrets and all, before the door would open for me. No items were blocking anything at any time. Try getting all 4 round keys and opening the iron door. After that try again with the Fighters Challenge.
