I wouldn't worry much about swapping characters.. you won't lose or gain anything really meaningful unless you do the swap over and over. I'm trying to nail that fixed down, but it seems for some thing to be a game bug (for example, the light armor proficiency remaining). Anyway, if you swap 1 or 2 times you are not game breaking.
Barikule's bonus artifacts are secrets which can be found exploring the area nearby his tomb with the goggles on.
About the relic: when you get 3 of them (there are 4) use them in the reliquary (near death shrine).

Just guessing, are you using map markers ?
If yes, please don't, grimrock has a bug which impacts most mods when map markers are used.

Hey Xanathar - Not to highjack this thread, but I think I heard about this before, yet I don't recall the impact of bug. What behavior(s) does the bug exhibit?

Two functions are bugged: allEntities and entitiesAt. If they find a map marker in the level (allEntities) or on the exact tile (entitiesAt) they will stop returning other objects. I never use allEntities as its bug is by definition easier to get stuck into, but as I said also entitiesAt has the problem.
So for example, in the specific case here, I use entitiesAt to know if there is a skeleton to reanimate in some specific tiles.. and if those tiles have a map marker, the game returns to me "no, there's nothing there" all the time

Xanathar, your mod is just "great" and fun ... sometimes difficult.
I experienced a strange bug. If I take food in my inventory save and quit the game, when I go back to grimrock and load the save, all foods are changed into small stones ...
After this, I get good progress in the game but I get stuck here :

What do you mean by "use them" and "reliquary" ?
I don't understandf, I have found the goggles, the necklace and the sword but I don't know what to do now ...
I have explored the entire dungeons area I have access without finding anything new...

the relics to use in the reliquary are not the barikules ones but the golden treasures.
