Hey Bongobeat :)
Yes I got your message... I have just been fixing a bunch of stuff the last few days (took longer than I thought it would). A number of weapons were crashing the game when you attacked a monster - really strange - and fixed simply by cutting and pasting a re-done definition for the weapon in items.lua (strange) .... and a few other minor errors with icons and puzzles.

But gladly I have finished and am now ready to start up version 1.5
I have to get some sleep but will get it all sorted first thing tomorrow and will send the invites to your email :D

Oh! and also, your message about using the "assassination" skill with Johns Oriental Weapons gave me some inspiration to do something similar :D

Im not sure if I will use Johns weapons pack (although it looks very very good), but I have given "assassins" a whole bunch of items that I felt were useful but didnt really fit in where I had them.
Turns out they will well as specialist items for Assassins!! So, thanks for the cool idea! :D

Leewroy!

I actually just checked through the script that runs all the projectile spells and it turns out a fair few of them were not working
(Im thinking because I changed coding getting Blades and Whipping Rocks to work - and didnt retest the others properly once I was done - although I clearly remember doing this)
I have got the rest of them to work but not magic arrow for some reason.... I will work it out soon Im sure

But yes, thank you for the reminder there, it will be all fixed soon :D

EDIT - Aaaand fixed. Something I always try is redefining items/spells/scripts.... it works sometimes. I dont understand why or how this helps, but it seems to for me
(kind of like turning something off and then on again??? lol)
All projectiles working now.... couple more minor things and I will be uploading version1.5 today very soon :D

Thanks! I got it :)

Well, one thing about the intro, personally I think that the text doesn't remain enough to read it completely before it disappear, I had difficult to read all because I have to translate it in french in my head in same time (ouch), and I couldn't read the last sentences.
By the way, nice story!

I hates that room with plates and gate! ;)
As the scroll said, what a nightmare! :D

The other room with fireball and poison bolt is interesting too! Had to reload a couple of time. :oops:
One of my character died and it was a message printed "Uldolf have lose 5 hp" well I don't really remember how it was spelled, have I lost hp definitely or is that just because I died? I can't remember how many hp I have before dying because I have already saved on the same savegame.

The treasure chest looks great! I was surprised when I saw the weight of the chest and thought it was full of things! But no! You broke my heart! :D

A personnal opinion: I think you should replace dungeon pillars by temple pillars, where you use mhhh, some kind of temple wallset, near the room with the fireball and pits (level3), i think it will looks better, well this is just purely esthetic.

About assassination skills. Have I such idea? :shock: I don't remember, was that not JW who set it in his oriental weapon mod? :D

I ve see some graphic bug:
Don't know if I should tell them? It's not very important.

Seems a pillar is missing on this corner, it is after the during door, in the south east corner of the room. Seems that you have a stair behind this wall ;)

On these statues models there is some texture missing? On the sides of the helmet (looks white).

When I press the button (north west corner of the school of wizardry room), there is something like there is a another props over the button, I think you have put 2 secret wall buttons on the same place. Mhhh we can't see anything in this screenshot. And there is always another problem with a pillar removed by a stair.

I'm going to be stuck! What does mean (only the fallen may pas"? Can't open any of the 2 doors in the level 5. I cannot open the iron door located near the during door.

You did a excellent work with all these spells!
Rhaaa, where are lizard bones?!? I can't wait to use it in the bone craft belt! :twisted:

While searching a way to continu I found another secret, with the huntsman cloak! This one was hard to find!!!

Lol while writing these ligns and checking with the dungeons maps I found a way through a "breakable item" near the wizardry school. I will not tell the name of the item to preserve the secret. Seems that I am not stuck anymore. <<< to be continued

If I use the ranger codex, is there a way to have my original character back later?

Get completely stuck!

had to teleport the party to get out.

After coming from level 3 (wizardry school). I go to the room with the red gem. Then I clean all areas with spîders, and I come to the "teleports" room. With the sign "All tele porters will transport back here"

After getting teleported on the first plate, it opens 2 doors then I can go on another plate. If you drop an item on the first plate (the only one which can be triggered by an item). Then you take another teleporter and come back to the door. And when you reuse the "door teleported", I come back on the first plate, but the doors did not open. you can get completely stuck because the item which remain on the plate, didn't allow to reopen the two doors again.
By the way what is the point of this room? I can see a button behind a gate, but can't go to press it. I'm stuck, help! :D

if you get snagged by the teleporter (taken back out of the room) - both secret doors will close. The first secret button is in plain view.... and sounds like you can get to it ok ;)
run out from the middle cage area, step left - press the first button - then take 2 steps right - that teleport position will take you back within the cage area and face you so you see the secret door openning.
Once you hit up the first chest, there is another secret button hidden by some vines... press it and when you step out into the teleport area again - take 2 steps right (get teleported) and then immediately continue with 3 steps right (and get teleported again).... this will take you back into the cage area, from there you should be able to navigate to the other secret door via the same way you succeeded in pressing the first secret button.

Yes yes thank you for reminding me about that. I need to change it so items do not activate any plates. My mistake!!
Read the walkthrough quoted above regarding that room. There are two secrets with chests. You need to get the ore from one of them to proceed.
I didnt change this for v1.5 but will definitely do so now.

Ok, when a champion dies - they will lose 1 - 5 HP (random) permanently. This is to act as a deterrent for relaying on resurrection methods to keep the party alive.

Only the Fallen May Pass -

You can not access these areas yet, they can be visited later in the game. They are Tombs of the 7 Liche Lords.

Lizard Fangs are one of the rarest components, but you will definitely start finding them soon :-)
The chests are weighted to 60 kg so to simulate the idea that - they are heavy and your party can not move around while the chest is in the inventory - you need to stop if you want to look inside the chest.
You can still pick the chest up with the mouse cursor and run if you need to though :)

Congrats on finding the huntsman cloak secret, that is one of the hardest to find in level 1 ;)

Once you change a champion over to the Ranger class, they can not be turned back. It is permanent. You do lose all points spent on skills but when you use the codex you are rewarded with skill points to make up for this. Further, any unspent points you have at the time are preserved - so it is possible to creat a champ - do not spend any points at all before changing to Ranger class - then change when you find the codex - maximising the number of points usable for that character.

Thank you for pointing out all the pillar / texture / clipping issues - that is great!! I will change them shortly :-) sometimes the pillars were not possible though as it created more clipping issues :cry:

I forgot to read completely the walkthrough!

finaly I figured out of the teleport rooms, well I have read the other post you tell to Leewroy about this room.
I get the ore and, saw the second button for the 2nd secret. I don't know why, I did not see it in the first times!

While trying this room, I was going to the other room "gems and rocks will not help you here...little insects". I jump in a pit and the game crashed while I use a magic missile against a spider.

I suppose this is a "temporary bug" because I did not have another bug while using magic missile

Just curious, all spiders in the pit are looking in the same direction, that they can't see the party after you jump in the pits. I suppose this is intended to avoid that all spiders come to the party in the same time?

Well this rooms seems to be a total mystery. I have put item in alcoves, activate all the plates by launching items, and even activating no visible plate (because darkness) south in the room, I hear sounds like pit are closing. I even try to launch magic missile spell against receptor, I have close lot of pits but… stuck in this room now, can't go further after the middle of the room. I had already kill the 2 tentacles.
But that is not necessary now as I can get the other ore part in the chest. Yes, I can do that (and I didn't cheat)! ;)
If you get fast enough, you can jump in a pit (in front of the chest) then click on the chest to pick it up before falling in the pit, and that's it! You have the chest. Maybe you should put it in a different way? I discover that trick in my mod while testing some. :twisted:
It's about the same way you have to put item in two alcoves while jumping in the pits, but this can be disastrous for the complete puzzle of this room.

By the way I have placed ore in the receptor, and open the other durin door. It has removed the pillars in the other room with the slimes, yeah!. But what are the use of the lever? Are they used for the room with the pits? (Howw! had to try that :D )

Yeah I suppose now you can't avoid this problem, If you don't have place to move the stairs. I ve noticed some other clipping issue on the level with the fireball and the ogre (lvl3 I guess). It's about dirt on floor and the wall dirt which are mixing themselves. I did not remember the place had to find them again.
the clipping are marked by N. Don't know if you can avoid them as you use dirt props on each floors.

Very funny! My warrior can shoot throwing daggers without any problems, but when the ranger shoots, the arrows hit some invisible wall and don't go further.

On this screenshot It's when you are facing south.
