I already did that, I'm still at 10 fps. My laptop is getting old, but it still should do it since as I said, I never experienced this problem before. I played many mods already, about 20, I only remember of some places full of fire and lightning bolts reducing my fps to 20. The first level of this mod should apparently not ask more than the original LoG game to my computer... I'm in the 4th level now and my fps rate is still stuck to 10. It really doesn't look like classic slow downs: I'm -always- at 10 fps, it never changes, except when I open a menu.

That's very strange; I have a lowly laptop too, and while I often go to 10fps at high rendering mode, in low rendering mode I am constantly above 40 :S

I'll release a new version soon (but not too soon :) ) with some minor optimization in.. but I won't promise miracles as there's not much left to optimize. I'm sorry for that but atm I've no idea why it's so slow for you :(

Hey dude
SpoilerShow
I kinda stuck right now with that machine. I dunno what exactly to do, and the machine book was not clear enough for me, didn't help much.

Other questions came to mind too:

1)Right in the begining of the fourth level there is a note telling about bring back stuff to the kitchen. Is this a part of some secret? what to do there?

2) After solving the puzzles to get the stone weapons, a multicolored teleport appears in the middle of the room but don't seem to be funtional.

3)Can't acess a spirit pendant and a skull between levels 4 and 5.I know you mentined it's a part of a secret, but I can't see where to start.

No just some "ambience" to give meaning to a box full of throwing knives :)

2) After solving the puzzles to get the stone weapons, a multicolored teleport appears in the middle of the room but don't seem to be funtional.

Correct. The gate is shut down from an overload (the explosion). You need to operate the machine.

3)Can't acess a spirit pendant and a skull between levels 4 and 5.I know you mentined it's a part of a secret, but I can't see where to start.

Explore very very very well the area on level 5 where the stairs leading to level 6 are.
Quick spoilering walkthrough to the machine:
SpoilerShow
1) Get 10 pieces of orichalcum on level 4. There are 13 of them so don't worry :P
2) Put them in the orichalcum alcove (on the opposite side of the control panel).
3) Press reset, Fire rune, Activate (or whatever it's called).
4) Wait 2-3 minutes until.. you get when. Make yourself a coffee or use this time to explore more secrets.
5) Go back to the control panel. Dial "spirituality" and there you go.
6) Enter the gate.
7) Good luck :P

Well, I've been trying some other mods, and I truly don't get it. In some of them I'm at 20fps, in some others at 60, with the same settings and more lighting effects, beautiful new wallsets and all. I've also started Komag's Master Quest: 20fps in the first level. I've started the original game: 60fps in the -same- level... Really strange.
Well, your mod is the only one in which I get stuck at 10fps and there should be an obscure reason, but... I guess I'll just wait until I get a better computer.
Thanks for the answer anyway.

Made progress!

Thanks for your answers. I found the secret I was looking for by accident, and only then I realized what should be clicked. That was hard, man! :P
I wonder if I'm missing other secrets like that, cause we´re used to the "common" hidden switches.

Very well, I´m now on level 8. I did some tour on level 11, before, and found some remains. Ressurected the mage with a complicated name, and went to the shelter. When I ask him what he was looking for in the ice plane, he wasn't very polite. :x Replied to me with "bye"...lol. Is this a bug, or he is tjust like that? :P

By the way, there's a thing you maybe should see, dude. Everytime you recruit guy from the shelter he gets an improvement. If we spend some time it will be asy to get overpowered characters, taking out the fun of the battles

His conversation not working (just says "bye") and the slight improvement every time you recruit are bugs that I also noticed and reported.

Igor, the performance problems are not related to graphics, but rather to coding going on, scripts running, timers doing things, gui checking things every frame, etc. It's hard to know how much those things are going to affect people's computers. IIRC, Petri said he's trying to revamp how it all works for Grimrock 2 so we can do more coding without the performance hit.

Thanks Komag. I suspected something like that. My computer has always been affected by a slow processor...

Just finished the game :D
SpoilerShow
I´ll play it again soon, I guess. I´m not satisfied to miss some secrets (ended with 26) and didn't found the treasure. It was a very nice and different and, took me a while to know what to do after finish the boss. Is there another kind of end? And what is the level 19?

It's cool to mess with the console and find hidden stuff in the levels, but guess I´ll not do it anymore to not take out the fun ;)

Dude, your module is one of the best, be sure of that. It's hard to chose, but if it's not the best is tied with others

Really enjoying the unique features in this mod. It amazes me how creative and talented people are willing to give away their work like this. Mods have multiplied the value of LoG by at least 5 for me.

I've got
SpoilerShow
Barikule's goggles
but do I find
SpoilerShow
his necklace and blade, that Komag referred to?
Also, I have no idea what to do with the
SpoilerShow
Alien figure
Hints welcome!

(I regret not starting with a bow-user -- my party is a bit unbalanced and the swapping characters level bug means that I am sticking with the first four).
