Thanks Roland. I've added it to the OP.

It sounds like it could also be chopped up to make some engine sound effects. (Those of you working on futuristic themed mods)

Good suggestion indeed, I suppose I could also make some additional weird computer noises as FX for futuristic themed mods.

But then again, creating SFX is kinda boring... hmmm, I'll think about it :)

I am asking a noob question here but I figured that I'll never get an answer without asking.
So I'm using the dungeon editor and loving it, then I realize that you can add custom tracks (SWEET).
I know that they need to be in .ogg file format but I son't know what folder\directory they need to be in.
I tried Almost every single one i can think of, still no dice. ;C ;C ;C ;C Please help me

So basicallyI'm asking how do you add custom music tracks to your dungeons.

Hi, put them in your projects folder, as here:

Code: Select all

*YOUR_DOCUMENT_FOLDER*\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock\Dungeons\*YOURMOD*\mod_assets\sounds\
[/b]

Ogg will work, eventually Wav too.

Do you need to create a custom lua script if your importing a custom backround track?

So sorry guys, I just realised that not only is my Icy Cave file not loud enough, it's not even the right format. I have since switched it to .ogg and increased the volume.

If you think it's too loud now, consider that backround music is played at a lower volume in game.

This time I think I created more of an intro track:

https://soundcloud.com/ambientbeast/grimrock-part-11

I guess this one is a little too busy to use in a level, I meant it more as an introductory soundtrack or something.

Lemme know what you think and feel free to use it for anything you like.

cheers,

Roland

Hi, I converted the amiga .mod File of the soundtrack of AP2 in .ogg Format.
And it is so amzing, war or not war, but even after 20 Years the Amiga Sound-Chip does very well.
I use this soundtrack for the opening screen of AP2 because the E-Guitarres of Amiga still sound pretty good.
Here You can grab and listen to the soundtrack: (AP2.ogg)

Abandoned Places original Amiga Soundtrack

Edit: Have changed the hoster to Soundcloud!
