@%^!#$&!#%@$ Holy Moly Leki! You almost made me curse! (in a good way!) Come to think of it, i need a backspace key for real-life.
that dragon is cool also custom enviroments..... no problem i'm building enough custom props to build exteriors and caves and whatnot. so yes the bigger the better (within reasonable limits ofcourse)Leki wrote:Well... I got an idea, but am not sure If you are interested in stuff like this, so maybe I will left it, although it still "one cell" monster - but needs special environment etc...

He could have more trouble than you think. the skeleton animation is of a thrust. Swords look fine thrusting, but axes would not. Working around that would be big trouble.thomson wrote:Leki, can I ask for a skeleton wielding axe, without shield? This is something needed for EOB1 mod. I think it shouldn't take too much time. You already mastered changing weapon/shieds.
Here's a list to the original skeleton from EOB1: http://stanislavs.tripod.com/games/eob1mons.htm (3rd from the top).
Oh, and let me say that this is an impressive work you're doing here.
well i tried to remove some pixelation and increase visual look + i added occlusion, paralax (bumpmap) effects on top of dif, normal and spec maps and as far as i can tell it works (there has been some dicussion in past about these working or not) wel as far as i can tell these extra layers work anyhoo i'll pack what i have so far (scripted n ready for use of course) i'll then drop a link over on monster thread for dropbox (i'll pm you when their up) dont wanna make a clutter of leki's thread ofcourse (also i changed the eye on two of 4 beholders)Neikun wrote:I'm interested in them. Hmmm. Would you be willing to retexture those beholders to have more beige/skin-tone/fleshy look? The yellow beholder looks like a good start.Neikun wrote:I'm interested in them. I like retextured works.
well one would have to convert model to max or such format deform it to your liking (make sure you keep texture map coords intact)thomson wrote:Hmmm. I have never reached the phase of doing anything with monsters, but how difficult would it be to stretch (fatten and make it more round like a ball) Leki's beholder to look more like the one from EOB? Would that require updating animations as well? I remember that I saw a long time ago an orge model that was stretched to look like minotaur. It was just a screenshot, so I don't know if the original ogre animation would still be usable or not. On the other hand, beholder does not have legs to move, so it would just wave its eye tentacles a bit differently, so in that sense beholder animation should be more forgiving.
The whole EOB team and thousands of gamers would offer you eternal gratitude in return
