@Hissssa: I've never saw that, only 4 skill points per level.
BUT by adding these points to skills you will be able to non directly increase attributes also.
I do not think there is any other attribute cap beside one I've mentioned earlier (max 6 points per attribute during char generation).

Lex - Just wanted to say thanks for compiling all this information. Huge time saver on launch day and I really appreciate being able to start thinking about this stuff a little early. So helpful to not have to track all this down independently. Thanks!

@nianu: bad husband!
I'm hardcore fan of this genre so I like to know "the bones" before start to enjoy "the meat" later

Thanks Lex! This is awesome
There's so much info to go over and so little time before release
I did notice two slight copy/paste errors--in Attributes, the descriptions of both Resist Cold and Resist Poison begin with "Resist Shock lowers the damage of..." That should probably be "Resist Cold" and "Resist Poison", respectively

Good job Lex, interesting read!
I wonder if any class other than rogue can use missile weapons? I normally give my wizards missile weapons in dungeon crawlers so they can still do something when they run out of mana.

Anyone can use missile weapons - it is only the matter of proficiency.

Well being able to use an item and being able to use it well are two completely different ideas. I'm getting the distinct impression that you can't mix and match skills so if you want to use ranged weapons well then you need to go Rogue.
I may be completely wrong with this assumption but I think that's completely boring as it removes a lot of customization options.

So only Rogues can use them effectively? I wonder if you would even be able to hit tougher enemies with no proficiency?
Daniel.

Well think about it in game terms.... throwing a dagger with lots of bonuses from points in the skill might do 10-15% damage regularly. But say if you have a wizard with low strength and dexterity (comparatively) with no skills you might only be doing 1-2% of an enemy's life total.

I would certainly consider giving my mages some ranged weapon training given a choice. I would also like to arm my rogue with a sword.
