Turned off autosave. I also get this crash when stepping on a tile 3 spaces (or 5 spaces if I turn left instead of right) after a sign which says something about friends. "[string "Teleporter.lua"]:0: attempt to index field 'map' (a nil value)"

Komag wrote:that doesn't sound like a Grimrock problem - the serialize table issue has to do with how we set up tables in our scripts
There's no table involved in the tick-counter.
I might have to check that though.

Also the issue from EdSploration with the teleporter I might know what's happening there, gotta check.

Man, so many bugs :(

I have updated my mod on both Steam and Nexus.

The problem lay in the use of a variable to hold and object that was not set to local within a function, therefore I think it was trying to save it and of course its effectively an array of objects which broke it. Not sure why this didn't show when i tested it. Hope this helps others track down others problems.

Please let me know if any other problems are found.

and the benefits begin o be reaped!

Problems arrive from the idea and it's implementation and the community crushes it out of existence.

Awesome job everyone.

now go forth and make sure other ppl play!.

Ok, I uploaded v1.0.4 of Hypercube to Steam and Nexus. If those who couldn't finish my version would care to try again, I fixed the save/load issue with the first pressure plates. I also changed the behaviour of some other things and would be really interested if that fixed the other crashes since I currently can't get any.
If you do get an error, it would be really great to have the first line of the error.log usually found in c:\users\[yourusername]\my documents\almost human\legend of grimrock.

Thanks, and also thanks for your votes :)

Well, it's your contest. Not sure how many people would still vote anyway. There's so much traffic on this forum the most people probably just don't see a thread like this when it's not stickied.
I'd like to hear the opinion from the other entrants first though.

Well the votes are in Ladies and Gentlemen!

The winner is Montis and his entrant: Hypercube!

Montis wins a copy of FTL to be handed out to him over steam, tomorrow.

Thanks you all for entering.

Please keep an eye out for the new challenge to be issued tomorrow as well! It's a good one too.

Montis if you'll contact me with your steam ID, I can shunt you the copy of the game.
