-1 for the whining. I'm running Grimrock on my Mac OS perfectly fine. I'm using Crossover. It allows Linux and Mac users to run Windows software. See here: http://www.codeweavers.com/products/ Installation was trivial - mostly clicking next and agree. I have installed version from gog (I have both gog and steam. I haven't tried steam, because I prefer the drm-free version).
Crossover is a paid app, but there was a promo on Oct.31 to get it for free. If the price bothers you, crossover is just a convenient wrapper around WINE, which is a free app and it can be compiled from sources for free, albeit I've heard that is requires some configuration.
The only thing that is not working is dungeon editor.
In my opinion people who complain that they bought the game without checking out if their system is supported are just careless.
On a very personal opinion, I would more like developers to work on new features (DLC? Extended editor with new features, perhaps start working on Grimrock 2). But I think it will also be beneficial for Almost Human to capitalize on the LoG success and try to sell as many copies on as many different platforms as possible.
Lack of support for Mac OS X / Linux
Re: Lack of support for Mac OS X / Linux
A wrapper that makes a game work better with Wine despite Wine does all the job? Very doubtful. Not a free wrapper? What a coincidence.
EDIT: So I installed from them the application allowing check if an application is supported, their official list is very small, no Legend of Grimrock. There's also an unofficial list from community, still no Legend of Grimlock....
I'm not surprised at all, not the first PC player guessing stuff he doesn't know.
EDIT2: Now fully tested, sure the installer works, it always did. The game launch and I get the music, and black screen forever. I have seen better from a rough attempt not polished by some expert users.
