It doesn't warrant it, doesn't demand it, no.
But it's still a cool idea, especially with new dungeons coming soon.
(ffs you can put all your heavy items in a big crate and carry it with your mouse pointer for 0 weight, perfect huge bag of holding there, abuse I say, give us proper ones, remove this bug)

That's a good point

I've found a few secret areas that are great gear dumping grounds, and are easy to return to.

If inventory management is the pinnacle of immersion into an RPG for you then... whatever floats your boat.
But don't be condescending to others who feel it's only a minor inconvenience.
And it all depends on how many bags of holding there are, how good they are, how much stuff the party is required to carry and how many party members there are (technically even dead members in Grimrock keep on carrying stuff, even equipped torches keep on working).
So don't be too eager to overgeneralize.
Have a nice day.
PS: Even my 4 mage party has enough inventory for me (cause I throw away almost everything but food), but I still think bags of holding are a neat idea.
I said "a sense of immersion" not "the sense of immersion". Now learn to read, it's pretty basic. And I never implied that I decide how the magic in Grimrock works, and
clearly there was someone other than me that made the decision to not include magic bags. All I did was arguing against the idea because I think it's a really bad one, so I'll present the case from the opposite side to let the devs know that not everyone want this. Furthermore, I never assaulted the OP, so don't you pin that on me and be careful of blind accusations in the future.

I don't see the need either, not even as solo. There are only a few things you do need, everything else is trash. Depending on your build, what is a treasure and what is trash is different of course.
Soon people would want loot bots (loot all on screen!!!) to go with their bags of holding, and ask for a shop mod so they can sell their lewt and buy new phat lewt in... seriously, though, there are no need to carry so much around in LoG.

Fixed it for you.
The point is that Grimrock isn't the only dungeon hopefully. You don't even have to carry the 7 treasures ffs. Just find em. But in the future bags of holding might be a good idea for expansion of game content.
Also if they change the death system or carry with pointer adds weight to party current leader or selected char.

If u think about this...where is the weight of water?
Well liquid in a potion doesn't have to be water, but let's say it is water in there. Where did it come from?
You have to eat in the game, but not drink. I would assume then that you have the water on you already and it's implied. But if that's the case and you take up to 0.3kg of water from your personal store to use in the potion you've taken 0.3kg from your inventory (implied) and put it in a potion in your inventory. The net gain in weight is 0kg since you were already carrying the water. If it doesn't weigh anything (or simply isn't counted) when not in the potion, it has no business weighing something once it's in the potion either.
That's not the only issue though.
When you make a potion it doesn't necessarily get heavier than the materials that went into it, but lighter, because you're not using 100% of the components that went into it. For example you might have to peel an ingredient or mash it, cut it up etc.. in which there is some loss. The one thing that will always weigh the same is the flask.
If I take 0.1kg of ingredients and put them in a 0.2kg flask. I will end up with something weighing between 0.2kg and 0.3kg, not 0.6kg.
