Just recalled something, that is if my memory does not fail me: IIRC Insal can be encountered once more later on in original EoB2 when he was freed earlier.

you can check Insal in Solitary drakes video where he refused Insal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeQ2dIKU ... 0ybnweg6zA

Thanks.

Deleting the notes on the map worked.
I do not want Insal in my party, so I sent him away. Is there any other way to open the door that can be opened with Insals Dagger? I'd like to have Fist Dagger...

No.

Insal is build after the original from EoB2. The only reason in EoB2 to let him join the party was when you had no thief he could be used for some nearby thief-action (forgot what it was) because he came along with a set of lockpicks. Since there are no thief-picking abilities or lockpicks in LoG Insal's Dagger is the needed key if you want the fist dagger.
Now if you can wait a bit longer you won't regret missing out on the fist dagger ..
Thanks Dr.Disaster for the answers, you are correct in everything
If you do not want Insal in your party but need his dagger, try save some adventurer bones, so you can revive "missing" member after Insal leaving. I think San-Raal is definitely worth for ressurection.
If that is true you'd know that any answer is obsolete because you can't get back to the places you ask about.
Wrong. I can always get back to any place I want by using an older savegame. And that is exactly what I wanna do.

1. I have found two parts of a broken sword and placed them both in the forge. How many parts do I need to forge a sword?
Dr.Disaster wrote:obvious more than you got keep searching
Funny. What do you think is the reason that I am taking the time to post in this forum? If I hadn't finished searching I wouldn't have posted here. Let me ask that question in another way. I got two parts of the sword, where do I find the remaining part(s) and how many are parts are there exactly? Yes, obviously more than two.

2. In Moonmark Tower Lvl2 (IIRC) there are five carpets and five torch holders. Anything that can be done there?
Dr.Disaster wrote:well .. yes .. that is if you do something there it's a secret, won't tell more
A secret? You don't say. OK, maybe somebody else can help my on this one?
Hey man,
I think Dr.Disaster just didnt want take all the surprise from you
As for the ultimate sword - there are three parts to be found. I do not remember specific levels, so just briefly -

first part is in the Temple Underground secret area (it is level where you cant sleep). Second part is reward from guessing "weight" riddle and last part could be gained in level where you get from Cleric Barracks, when crossing pit / fireball room
As for the carpets, you need to insert torches just in particular torch holders (carpets give you some clue)

True, one can always go back with an older savegame. Yet the mod's point of no return is not even close to the mod's end so one being close to the end and going back to Moonmark Tower knows he has lots of replay ahead.
Regarding your questions: if a hint can be given to solve something i'm not shy to hand some out. But as Drakkan said i refuse to plain spoil people's fun in uncovering how a quest or a secret is solved. Just look at those five torch holders. It's not hard to collect a few torches so be honest: did you try something there?
