Re: [OPEN - SIGNUP / DISCUSS] One Room Round Robin 2!
Just an update, so everyone knows I'm still here.
Story elements, sound effects and custom assets are in place, as is about 85% of the architecture. My problem now (for the last couple of days, actually) is the flow. As it stands, the way the player flows through my section is off and it can be solved stupidly fast, so I'm just trying to work out 1) how to better pace it and 2) how to add depth in a way that is fair (no "busy work" or obvious time-sinks).

That sounds like my problem... I've got the same situation, except that [additionally] a few of my assets don't exist yet.SpiderFighter wrote:Just an update, so everyone knows I'm still here.

I'm still working out the path, and certain encounters.

It's funny what a difference not having usual encounters makes. I'd normally alternate puzzles and mobs, but I can't really do that here...snd my design uses all three floors, so it really is feeling too thin.Isaac wrote:That sounds like my problem... I have classes the next two days though, so I'm most likely not going to be able to get back to this until Monday. I'll try to get it finished by then.

Hello guys,
For those who are still working (except spiderfighter, we already discussed in PM), how are your rooms doing? If I could start getting the last rooms this week to be able to path this together for some first playtests towards next week, it would be fantastic!

My room is almost done and I'm pretty happy about it now, not perfect but good enough. Not sure about the balance/difficulty though, so some play testing would be welcome. I will upload it within a few days. Note to my self: Must test save game compatibility.

As Diarmuid knows my room is done, has already been submited so you can update the original post Spider.

I hope there's no save-game errors due to central code on my part... Still have to double-check everything.JKos wrote:My room is almost done and I'm pretty happy about it now, not perfect but good enough. And it is another amazing addition.Skuggasveinn wrote:As Diarmuid knows my room is done, has already been submited so you can update the original post Spider.

While you're at it, add finished for TSotP, and remove Kseroshy (no new from him at all, after multiple tries).SpiderFighter wrote:Done!Skuggasveinn wrote:As Diarmuid knows my room is done, has already been submited so you can update the original post Spider.
