The Library is hard in a way that you can't just place stuff around to see what is working, there is a clear order to things, and if you don't see it you will get stuck there (placing stuff randomly in the alcoves has to many possibilites for it to work, unless you are really really lucky), that being said, we all should know what kind of order it is since its a library ;)

I'm getting the feeling (and I had this feeling before release) that this room needs more hints, I will talk to Merethif about it.

Skuggasveinn.

ps, I pm'ed him.

What version of Grimrock do you have? is it the Steam edition? mine is 1.3.7 (shown in the bottom left of the menu screen)
Thanks for the reply.

It is the Steam version, I got it about a month ago, but I won't be able to check the version until tonight when I get home.

then it is most likely up to date (at least with 1.3.6), so maybe there is some other tricky thing going on

Hmm, maybe that can be a little more hinted at in the library rules book, something like
SpoilerShow
"leave them on the tables, so library staff can properly alphabetize later" or something
:)

Just finished it.

I love to see the different styles and puzzles in one mod!
Great job everyone!

2.5 hours needed, 10/15 secrets found, and 5/4 treasures.
SpoilerShow
At the start I had 2 treasures, a crown and another one. During one of the puzzles (I think it was with the 4 slimes) I put it down on an altar. when I took them up they counted as new treasures.

Hello to all,

i think i need one little hint, cause i am stucked at the "winter halls" (level 3).

SpoilerShow
This is the first room using the "Nothern Dungeon" wall set from daniv.
There is a dragon statue facing a frozen wallhole and to the right side
there is a red gem behind a prison door.
I searched the entire room for secret switches, fake walls etc.
but nothing...
what i am missing?

btw.
@Xanathar awesome room... 6 minutes of permanent grinning :D

Loved the dungeon, it was very creative and fun.

Encountered two issues:

1. Bug in the Grimforge room --
SpoilerShow
When I picked up the golem's heart, it would continue spawning without taking the heart from my inventory. If I killed the monster again or tried to put the heart down, the game would crash and other weirdities.
2(?). When heading towards the Library Challenge, I first went towards the right

and found the Library Manual. I ventured forward into the Red/Blue solidier puzzle
, yet an iron door closed me in and stop me from back tracking permanently. :( I finished the rest of the game, but the door remained closed.. I couldn't find any hidden switches to open it, though I'm not the best at that kind of thing... Was that intended? D:

Okay, I'm going to appear like an idiot here.
SpoilerShow
But Haunter V's labyrinth has me stumped. I get down to the part where the Grimrock music is playing and I've tried everything to move forward. Hitting the walls, lighting the torch, resting in the area, destroying every tapestry, searching every nook and cranny of the passage beforehand and... nothing. Maybe I got an unfinished version. :P

I'll go back and continue searching. You people are evil... but in a good way. :D
