No, I prefer how I ended it :P

I dearly wish I could reclaim the parts of my brain where I've stored all those Tolkien poems... Hm, I thought it was "touched" by the frost. Maybe dementia is setting in.

44 = human stats are Tot: 40 + 4 skill points
43 = Minotaur 42 + 1 skill point
44 = Lizardman 41 + 3 skill points
44 = Insectoid 41 + 3 skill points

Wouldnt it be better to just make a custom race tab, and give the race 44 points to play with to use either in stats or skill points.

The problem i see is how to limit max/min stats. Eg the human can only have 16 as its max stats, where the minitaur can have a max str of 20, i think. How many sounds are we talking about anyway? Maybe be able to select a sound pack for the char.

Just ideas.

Ah yes, I forgot each race has a sound for when they get hit.

Anyway, I'd rather not have "custom races". I'd rather get introduced to real, canon races made by Almost Human so we get more of a feel of what the Northern Realms universe is like.

Finetune it in detail is always more powerful than having to pick from a fixed list of options.

For example, if you do want to start with the 4 skill points, you're not getting any ability modifiers, so you can at most start with 16/14/10/10. Insectoids/Lizardmen provide bonuses to one ability, but only net you 3 skill points. Minotaurs provide bonuses to two abilities, but only net you 1 skillpoint.

I personally think Humans need one additional skillpoint. 1 attribute point feels equal to 2 skillpoints, not one.
