Alright I'm back from Chinaaaaaaaaaaaa.
I would love to know what is the best solution to play this game without this overheating fan problem occurring every time I start this game. Has the developer asked Nvidea to fix this issue if it's there fault? Or is there a patch update for this if it's the dev's error?

Anything helpful would be great. Thanks to all the helpful folks if you guys are still around for a late boomer like myself waiting for a fix

OK, here the (hopefully) definitive guide on over-heated GPUs:

*first, check your FPS with LoG (see here how to enable the showing of FPS viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2574&start=10#p26796)

If ...

*ingame FPS > 120 fps: no frame-rate limiter enabled. enable the frame-rate limiter in the grimrock.cfg by setting maxFrameRate = 120 and/or enabling v-sync (in options menu), check the in-game framerate.
* ingame FPS > 60 & FPS < 120: framerate limiter ineffective, v-sync off. enable v-sync and/or lower maxFrameRate to maxFrameRate = 60
* ingame FPS are exactly 60 or 120: frame-rate limiting and vsync already enabled. Some cooling effect should be applied on the GPU. check with GPU-Z if temperature is low enough and if the GPU-load is below 100%. if not lower maxFrameRate.
* ingame FPS < 60: v-sync and pre-defined frame-rate limiter value are ineffective. Lower maxFrameRate below the achieved FPS e.g. maxFrameRate = 40 to save the GPU some work. check the cooling effect with GPU-Z.
* ingame FPS == maxFrameRate & < 60 FPS & still to hot: Lower maxFrameRate further e.g. maxFrameRate=30 and reduce the resolution and graphic quality (to increase the achieved FPS)
* ingame FPS == maxFrameRate & < 60 FPS & minimal resolution & quality & still to hot: downclock your GPU (see here viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2324&start=20#p27008) or buy a faster one (if possible)
