Or you could make the debuffs temporary, like a reverse rage potion~
Probably not~
Modding y u so time-consuming?
lol.
a temporary debuff might work but I dunno, then it just seems pointless. I did sort of do that on one of my other items

I gave a positive effect and a temporary negative effect both at the same time so it's kind of a risk vs reward thing (the positive outweighs the negative.so it's still worth it)

Isn't the entire point of this foodstuff to be flavorful? Pun intended.
well yeah, that's why i wanted to put "favorite foods" and "hated foods" but people seem to think that the "hated foods" is a bad idea,
It's not a bad idea. You just need to handle it carefully with stuff like item descriptions. You don't have to, but at least that way you can't be accused of old-school harshness because all that was needed was some minor reading. It's like that one event in FTL that asks how many moons orbit this planet, which you can only answer if you read the short text just prior to the question.

yeah well, I mean...this hated food I was planning to put in is totally obvious, by the description and the dialogue, you would have to be really bad to get hit by it.
