Re: [MOD] - Eye of the Atlantis - version 3
Yet this is the "official" thread for the Mod, which has your name and active ongoing contributions fully documented. I don't have an opinion on the stance itself, I'm just curious as to why you see a difference between your name on the credits and your name (along with your detailed contributions) publicly documented in this thread.minmay wrote:I have noticed that you put my name in the credits etc. I asked you not to do this. I would really appreciate it if you removed all mentions of me in the next version. I do not want my name on a mod that is filled with stolen content and casual sexism.
Re: [MOD] - Eye of the Atlantis - version 3
It's not a legal matter. I have no liability here in the first place; if I were worried about that, I could just report Drakkan's mods on Nexus, but I haven't done that because I have a (perhaps futile) hope that he might still remove the stolen assets.
It has nothing to do with that. It's just that if my name is in the mod it sounds like I endorse it, which I don't want people thinking.

I've restarted ver 3 and an back at level 3 of the watchtower trying to defeat the portal guardian, any hints would be helpful.

thanks for you words. Have you finished it already ?Lightangels wrote:Best mod i every played Drakkan, like your mod on Log1, You are the best.

as for minmay - well he is just quite weirdo sometimes but without his help this mod would be not so nicely optimized I have to say.
Re: [MOD] - Eye of the Atlantis - version 3
Dont sell yourself short, Drakkan. You are an awesome game designer, and the only reason your mod is having so much trouble is because the Grimrock platform itself is very limiting with its capabilities (32-bit) combined with a bare-minimum Editor tool (eg, no Minimal Save State options nor class/properties interface on the design screen).
Re: [MOD] - Eye of the Atlantis - version 3
unfortunately thats true :/ I wished to have much more space to use more content etc... well. maybe next time.Azel wrote:Dont sell yourself short, Drakkan. I have uploaded version 3a
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xitzqxwzav6if ... a.ZIP?dl=0
- some spells gain experience when killing monsters - issue resolved thanks to AndakRainor
- some texture compression corrections
- Elunes quest no longer remove all ice shard when finished, but just ingredients required for the quest
- improved scripting for pushable block puzzle
- some other minor corrections, nothing serious
Re: [MOD] - Eye of the Atlantis - version 3
Do you do any work in the Elder Scrolls realm? I would love to see you design something in Morrowind or Skyrim
And you're not alone in these concerns; I'm testing my complete Mod this week and I will likely face a few performance issues as well. I stocked up on the energy drinks to spend as much time as possible optimizing the entire thing as quickly as possible (including all the minimalRetardState flags)
I look forward, though, to finally completing some of these Grimrock Mods; yours included.
