Heheh if the clue (or lie about the clue) mentions time then it's a sure bet it is some form of timed puzzle.
These puzzles will have very tight timing...
sometimes not even enough time to waste on turning around on squares or accidentally moving the wrong way once or twice

This is my second or third playthrough and I still cannot solve the level 7 puzzle, not even after watching Akroma's video walkthtrough. Can anyone tell me how to open the grate where the mark is.

EDIT: AT LAST!!!! After 20+ retries I was able to do that f***g puzzle. Most frustrating Grimrock puzzle ever.

Hello everyone ! I'm back on grimrock, and i see the wonderful project labyrinth of lies is ready :D

Great work so far, i love the battle mage concept, (btw im fnot english sorry for the language)

Too bad for bonecrafting i have made an only human party :( but in this mod it's really important to up differents magic schools :D

Man, I am on the verge of giving up this mod. I am pretty fed up with the same "press two buttons fast" while handicapped puzzle over and over. It is fun the first time but after that it becomes tiresome.

you are able to acquire the headhunter trait by drinking the ogre blood vial....
or you can use necrochemy with the ogre blood to give all champs the headhunter trait

there are quite a few timed puzzles around the engine rooms/core....
but they do not continue after that :)

This module is proving to be the most frustrating Grimrock experience I have ever had.

Can anyone confirm this?

I am at level 9 now (palace). When doing the "bridge walk" puzzle, starting it from the right section (NE) and reaching the button (and pressing it), there is the sound of a portcullis opening, but the portcullis at the right remains closed (the one containing a green gem and a secret button that teleports you out to the puzzle end). I reached the puzzle end manually but I couldn't get the gem. I got it by teleporting my party using console (30,25,0,9). Annoying to say the least.

eLPuSHeR - there is more than 1 secret button in the room. You do not need to teleport your party :?

furthermore - if some of these puzzles are getting the better of you, try watching the solutions in the youtube videos
regardless, even if you have been experiencing much frustration - I am very happy and impressed that you have made it to The Palace - great work! :D

Yes, some timed puzzles are very annoying. Your mod is putting Grimrock engine to its knees. You may want to set texture/drawing feature to medium for a smoother gameplay (but it looks like crap, specially on LCD/TFT displays).

I am following your video walkthroughs on Youtube. What is puzzling me is that sometimes the solution you propose is different for me than the actual one. I don't know why. It happened to me for the level 7 puzzle and the aforementioned level 9 "bridge walk" puzzle.

Anyway, being a little masochistic, I have started again, because I got all magic schools messed up, I had no wisp shift spell, no daggers trait, etc...
