Sorry for not responding to that whole thing before. I don't think that would work out.
Never having made a dungeon actually successfully before I think trying without a computer to test ideas on would not work well. Also I'm completely out of practice after 5 months.
So I have to pass. I'm still after all this time trying to fix things. I should have a computer soon. But I've not given up trying to recover my old computers data. All solutions cost a rather large amount, and... wait a minute. Cutting short explaining all my problems in a long winded manner. I'm still thoroughly screwed.

Aaneton, your intro is really cool! I think it makes a great opening sequence, I'll let others play and discuss it further. After a few more fixes and addons, the file has been sent to Leki.
As for the dungeon itself we now have a few more "bonus" rooms, opened with swirl keys. Read below in spoiler:
A fast travel
teleport system accross levels, an
arena (yeah) and a
Dismantler vault!
The vault will contain a riddle room which will be composed of random riddles based on the rooms completed by the player. So if you want to participate, you can pick up an item from your room and invent a little riddle to go with it and post it in a spoiler or a PM (or in the Skype chat. If you're not inspired, we'll make up one for your room, don't worry.
The MOD is really shaping up now...

After sending PMs around and note getting answers, I think we lost a few participants along the way, not seen on the boards for a few months, and who left the grimrock modding community for various reasons, sometimes beyond their control. So after some cleanup, here's the current layout of the dungeon, unless further change. We'll have a total of 19 rooms, which is 1 more than ORRR1 which had 18, + a lot of bonus rooms and secrets all around outside the rooms. As you see, this is really heading towards completion now

Excellent progress! Very exciting. What do you guys think we should do with the empty rooms in the tower? Are there any plans for them yet?
We could...
1. Have some of us do a second room (I would be more than happy to do that).
2. Use them as treasure troves - a room with puzzles that gives out treasures instead of keys. We could collaborate a bit on these.
3. Leave 'em empty.
4. Make one or two of them simple combat mazes with windy corridors and a bunch of monsters in.

Good to see this is almost a reality.
I do have a couple updates I need (or just want) to do to my room based on a couple suggestions Diarmuid made back when I finished it (second or third room done at the time). If needed I have a single room layout which could take up a single floor if needed. It was my original plan for the ORRR2 but I went with my second idea.

While some could be filled. My vote is leaving at least some of them empty instead of forcefully/hastly filling them up. What I have tried so far it seems like there is alot to play with already. I suggest we remove the doors to rooms that not will be created and adjust swirl doors accordingly. And someone should start doing a short intro and outro cinematic...
Of course if some of you guys have brilliant ideas, by all means create the rooms! But we should not feel a need to fill every space, just because there is some left.

But I agree with aaneton. I think 1 official room per modder is fine, and we just remove the others, and rearrange swirl key/doors. It will also make the dungeon layout a bit less predictable.
There are already a bunch of extra rooms around for bonus treasure anyway, we could add some more of course if people have good ideas. Some winding corridors/rooms with some monsters and standard equipment is a good idea again to make the map more natural. But there's already a lot to play here.

Well sure! I don't mind whatever everyone decides. I have material to make a second room too if needed.
