Human Fighter, using swords.
Minotaur Fighter, using maces.
Human Rogue, using daggers after I get the reach skill, meanwhile using throwing knives and a spear.
Insectoid Mage, specializing in ice and earth magic.
Such a great and addicting game. Exploring Grimrock is scary business and I've become a bit paranoid, advancing rather slowly.

Evasion Dagger Rogue Lizard
Fire Earth Insectoid Mage
Air Human Mage
Dual mages are very powerful and quite fun to play but it's sad not to be able to get more use out of bows and arrows etc.

Not very original, but:
Human fighter, focus on swords.
Minotaur fighter, focus on maces.
Human rogue, focus on bows/dodge.
Human mage, focus on ice/air/spellcraft.

Mu the bull is an armor/mace specialist, Ossik is a lizardman who likes knives and not being hit. Ix is an insectoid who is pretty evenly spread out as far as magic goes, and Norma is a human, and she throws things.
So far a rogue on the front lines is pretty interesting.

Insectoid fighter highly based on armor and strength with the insectoid only trait. Likes swords. Meant to tank.
Insectoid Mage with mind being his main skillpoint with, as far as I remember, two skills meant for wisdom along with one for skills. Meant to make the potions and cast a fireball when he has the chance.
Minatour fighter that focuses on strength. Loves to use maces and axes and has the Minotaur only trait as well along with the well trained trait. Meant to damage.
Lizardman that is a rouge who is essentially a all rounder. Usually use him to hold the torch and to attack with a spear from behind. Meant to carry.

i'm playing the same. interesting, the rogue evades a lot of attacks from the enemies. And 2 mages are very powerful.
Minotaur Fighter / Armor + ( i dont know which weapon to specialize. i will wait until i find a very good weapon)

My initial party:
1 Human Fighter, Sword Master + light armor
1 Minotaur Fighter, Axe Master + heavy armor + skulls (hehehe)
1 Insectoid Mage, Fire + Ice
1 Human Rogue, Missile + throwing weapons
I love this game....
