Over Three hours and still can't get past it

All the dungeon crawlers that preceded Grimrock had throw puzzles, portal puzzles and pit puzzles sometimes requiring some timing. It's in the game's DNA if you don't like them it's not the designers fault, they're just making another great puzzle/dungeon crawler like the ones before this one. Apparently this just isn't your thing, but a lot of people are enjoying it and I'm sorry you didn't get your $12-$15 out of it.

Hate to tell you this dark..but a game with a ton of puzzles is the way to go. I have been waiting for a game exactly like this for 15-20 years.

Yeah, oookay let's consider this thread derailed. Please, no need to get offensive/defensive over puzzles. We understand that everyone might not like them but they are a big, essential part of Grimrock. There are plenty of RPGs on offer, even some dungeon crawls, with a lesser emphasis on puzzles.
