I think the first ORRR was based on each author spending 72 hours on their room (once they had the file, many of us prototyped before our turn). Sure, some people went a couple of days over, but as we've not really been clear about expectations this time around we are averaging about 2 weeks per room (9 rooms in 5 months).
It's not a problem, just something I think worth noting for improvement next time around. I think fresh energy from LoG2 would also make any ORRR projects based on LoG2 much faster.

In four days, it will have been my first month on this project; (though it certainly wasn't a daily session for that month). Hopefully I can start integrating what I have into the master file.

Yeah, I've probably been too smooth with deadlines, when people were busy with work or other stuff. Let's speed this up a little. I think Kuningas is almost done, Isaac if you're near ready you can put your room right after, and I'll try to contact the next person in line to tell them to get ready to do their level in 3-4 days. That should be Ciccipicci, who was on vacation in July and should be back in now. With all that, we should have 3 more rooms in in about a week and half.

Sorry, not meant to come off as a criticism if it sounded that way. Just always thinking of how to improve things for 'the next one'. :p
Idea: In the next one, we ask everyone to design their room/s in a square starting at X,Y of a new dungeon. Tell designers that they MUST use a prefix for any entities they need to know the name of for scripts. Then, on merge, add a prefix to any spawn commands not using their prefix. Should be able to automerge without clashes then and everyone could work on their room over the course of a month and come together for testing / fixing afterwards. Not sure if it's too much effort or not, but could work.
You're doing an excellent job on the ORRR2 by the way Diarmuid. Without your continued effort, and the amount of time it takes (I doubt many of us know just how many hours you've spent optimizing and building and managing), it wouldn't be happening. It's gonna be awesome when done

Ok, folks, Kuningas has finished his room, another great contribution to the MOD! I have the file, I'm rebuilding the central architecture to (hopefully) really fix the frame rate issues this time, and Isaac will merge his room very soon.

Looks great! I'm glad this is back to speed. As no-one is marked for room 1 I could volunteer to create that one. Actually I would like to make a simple prison level, and I was thinking maybe the player would start inside a prison cell. Escaping from room 1 would be the first thing player does. Like my (court)room 9 it would be story driven and simple enough so that no-one gets stuck there.

You could have a button at the beginning of your room that allows the player to start playing your room. (The button would turn on a teleporter and start the player where you want them)

Why not? Great idea! The whole plan was more or less to escape upwards, with the new hub model we can even put a nice sky on the top level to see far above
. It also ties the orrr2 thematically with Grimrock's prison theme. We also need volunteers to design secret bonus areas...

Why not just put the starting position where he wants in the prison?
