Could a dev please explain what has happened? Right now it seems that the update has been out on Steam and the download site for a short time and then was pulled again.

GOG have new 1.1.4 version.

But, it wont install over old version, so delete old game folder manually or uninstall, and then reinstall.

Over 1GB worth of downloading from Steam to end up where I started.
Well at least I had the 1.1.4 version for a little while.
No doubt that when it will be available again it will br another 600mb + download.

Obviously there's a problem, at least in the GoG distribution.

There's a file called D3DX9_43.dll in the distribution that causes an error message when starting the new version 1.1.4.
Delete or rename the file (in the game folder) and the game starts correctly in 1.1.4 for me.

We have sent email to Valve about the problem. Let's hope the issue gets resolved soon.

Sorry to hear Steam continues to mess up when dealing with Grimrock, even post-release. Hope they sort their stuff out soon.
