I should like a map divided in rooms 5x5 all connected with the near rooms but with only one key to open only one of the connected doors. So there will be a sort of replayability factor and differnt routes!

It was never my intention for this to be competition with the CFD, In fact, it was started because I was frustrated with my own CFD submission and wanted to do a quick one-off to clear the cobwebs! lol In any case, I don't see why one should take away from the other, especially because this is only one room. We've gotten a few submissions from people who don't feel able to sustain a whole map, for example.
I highly recommend every author here please submit a map for the Community FrankenDungeon (or,a s I call it, "frungeon"); it's a great project and HaunterV and Edsploration have put a ton of work into it.

You know, I kind of like that idea, although I would make the rooms different sizes and shapes, to maintain player interest, and also to give the developers some choice.

If there's a second round, I'd like to participate. I was planning to join in earlier, but decided to work out my room's concept first, and then the submissions got closed before I was ready.
As for restrictions, the room I've got planned at the moment could probably be made to work without extra assets. (When you say cloning is acceptable, do you mean everything defined entirely within lua files is ok or just the cloneObject command?) Fitting the room into a pre-existing grid might be trickier. Of course I could always try to come up with something else.

We'd love to have you on board, and I'm sure there will be a second round, as we've had some interest in it. As for the cloning, I'd like the majority to decide what the theme for the next ORRR will be, so I wouldn't worry about it yet; I was just throwing an idea out there...it's absolutely open for discussion.

This is all true,
hence me putting in a room of my own. Next round I can probably get something else together for a 5x5. I like the idea, its almost like smash tv.

Like Smash TV's choose a path mechanic once a room was survived.
I can probably get my jackie chan fight to work with this one. Is there a way to change the dmg a mouse thrown item does?

While I was deciding to do my actual room or do something else I had this doubt about the atmospheric effect - it's cool but ruins fantasy immersion as a farting clown in a cinema during an Hitchcock's movie
One of the reasons I decided to go on was because it would have been a good resource for learning (both for me and for someone looking at the sources) scripting techniques of various kind. I learned more doing that room that for everything else together
So I was thinking if we can take all of this a step further.
Since we are going to release the source, what about everyone writing some lines (or several gigabytes) of howto explaining how the room is done and, say, one particular technique per designer ? This could range from the technical - how to write that script, how to create that asset - to the pure design - how to design a balanced puzzle, how to plan this interaction, etc. (do not underestimate this last one, I put my mod on hold because it was becoming a receptacle of dull ideas).
All this could end in some special section of the GrimWiki for future modders (and for ourselves, beats the heck out of me how some of those wondrous rooms were done!) to learn.

I think that's a very good idea and we should do it
