I happend to me some time ago - if I assigned materials from 3+ textures, part of that "mesh wanished" - material got invisible or black - I don't remember It happend with weapons usually - for example, sword was ok, shield wasn't. Or maybe texture was not applied on model... smth like that. Maybe there was problem in monster model, exporter or in GMT... Hmm... It happend to me with more than one model, if I remember correctly - so I used max 2 textures (as skeleton warrior uses, and it works without problem - (), it helped, so I let it out of my mind

ever considered using nifskope for the editing of exported grimrock models, worked fine for lets say the demon childe model i had a while back, wich had various model parts with various texture attached, only trick is to asimp import the model back into gmt for further processing and then re attaching corresponding textures to corresponding model nodes

OK guys. Its simple. If you download warrior and give him some, for example scale or leather armour texture, I will arm him with horned helmet, sword and shield and another version will be ready for publishing. Any new texture --> I will arm him with mace and shield, dual weld sword or axes, or spear and shield etc. So it's up to you.
Post you new textures in this thread and tell me what kind of weapon you want for him and I will do my best to do it for you. In the meantime I will make full plated knight with 2H sword - for DM and CSB remakes etc...

i took a wee peek at the texture map layout and this one should be real easy to modify. so i'm going to try and give him a rotten or
plague type of skin to use as variation. also using skyrim type model is probably a real good decision because they are build in a way that you get a standard model with interchangeable armor ,weapon parts. only drawback is the amount of re-rigging aforementioned model type brings along i can imagine.

Here's my idea, but before I do a simple retexture I just want to see if you agree with the idea in general:
I was about to retexture him with the different armour textures available to the player. Then I'd ask you to model the different player weapons on him. That way, he could drop both a weapon and armour when you kill him, corresponding to what he was wearing. A sword of nex and leather armor, or a Longsword and chainmail. You get the idea.
Btw, would it look bad if he moved just a little faster than in the video? He doesn't seem to be so keen on catching the player. Or maybe some variant of "ogre charge"?

OK. No problem.
Post texture and let me know what yours idea is. Only limit is: don't use "chain weapons" as flail is. You can use spears, axes, maces, swords or staffs etc.
Human Warrior is still in v0.9 as you know. If you want to see him walking a little bit faster, I can do it I guess, but there will be one walking animation speed for all of them. You can play with scrip and change dealys etc, to meke him faster or slower. I saved "charge" fot plate mail warrior, but I can share charging animation for this one as well. The animation skeleton will be the same. But charging animation is not ready yet. But ok, I will put that part into WH and define two HWs, as "HW_normal", and "HW_charging" or smth like that.
Anyway - I will publish HW v1.0 in two days (polished animation, and with final sound definitions).
I will also extend HWs script definition as templete for custom weapons definition.
Then you will can, for examle, If you need "arabian like warrior armed with scimitar", just:
- make weapons and helmet models (you can find a lot of them online for a reference)
- make textures and define materials for them (and atlas textures as well)
- write item definitions into HW script
- update warriors loot definiton (to drop scimitar or arabian helmet for example)
- I will make new WH model armed with these custom weapons etc. And here we go - new arabian warrior is ready for play.
