You would need to change nearly all of the animations for them to look realistic, but sure.

I am trying to find a good ground asset for the tentacles monster, but no grates seem to fit. Any one using this monster has an idea ?

They're made to fit the Grimrock 1 floor grates,
which you ARE allowed to use in Grimrock 2 mods. The dungeon_floor_01 material in Grimrock 2 is nearly identical to the one in Grimrock 1 (it's the same base texture with fewer cracks and more dirt), so the Grimrock 1 model should look fine in Grimrock 2 if you just change the materials to the matching Grimrock 2 ones.

Should I copy this model from the grimrock 1 asset pack ?

Actually the model is already in the Grimrock 2 standard assets (assets/models/env/dungeon_floor_drainage.model) so you don't need to get it from the Grimrock 1 asset pack.

minmay, are you aware of other models that are included in the pack and not used/defined in LoG2?
I remember that you found a lot of inactive soundfiles

Why are you asking me? If you don't know what's in the asset pack, download it and look at it yourself.

*sigh*
I have the pack, and I constantly have a look at it. But I do not verify if every model in the pack is used in the game. Or if only models (or other files) that appear in the game are in included in the pack.
You seem to be aware of these unused files. That's why I am asking you...

No, I don't have a list of files that are present in the asset pack and not used anywhere in the game. I don't know why you think I would have that, let alone how you could possibly have any use for it.
I made the post about sounds because sounds are not included in the asset pack. Models are.

Because you knew very fast that the model of the drainage is comming with the asset pack.

Because knowning that a model is in the asset pack keeps people from copying them senselessly into their mod_assets folder.

It wouldn't be my first idea to think that a model of LoG1 that isn't present in the game of LoG2 could be in the asset folder regardless. Obviously you have ideas like that. I thought that you maybe have already checked which unused model (or other file) from LoG1 is in the asset pack of LoG2. If you had had a list like that it would have cutten work from other modders. I see, you have none so it's okay. But that are the reasons why I ask. Questions left out?
