Hello everyone!

I finally found out what causes this..and i think it is actually a bug.

If i use Dungeon tiles in the room below the pit it works!

If i use Castle Tiles below the room with the Pit the error message apears again.

The room with the Pit can have castle Tiles. i just need to make sure the level below does not use castle tiles..which is not what i wanted..but o well...

If anyone knows how to get around this let me know :)

How odd, that, I didn't try while attempting to replicate the bug (was, indeed, using dungeon_ for everything).

I'm coming up on the same error. I am using the castle tileset and need to create a pit. When playing I get the error message saying undefined object: castle_ceiling_shaft_0000.

Now, this thread is quite old, but the problem seems very apparent to me. castle_ceiling_shaft_0000 is not defined. The dungeon tileset has all of the ceiling and shaft variations 000,0001,0101, etc...
The Castle tileset only has ceiling variations. This bug can probably be fixed if we can redefine pits to use the regular "castle_ceiling_shaft" entity instead of the one with the four binary numbers on it. Or it could be fixed by defining all of the 0000 versions of castle_ceiling_shaft. Without the asset pack, Its hard for me to figure this out though.

EDIT: It turned out to be much easier than I thought.
Just clone the castle ceiling shaft and name it to whatever numbers you are missing.

put this in objects.lua

I have got this problem now but

Just clone the castle ceiling shaft and name it to whatever numbers you are missing?

I put this in objects.lua but I am in trouble with above

"undefined object: castle_ceiling_shaft_0000" coming up after I used a castle tileset to drop down from a forest chasm

if I delete the new castle level, no error

then do a new castle level, error is back :o
