DesperateGames wrote:Oh no! Thanks for the info bongobeat, we were not aware of this issue! The problem is, that the mod uses a lot of custom sound files and it has a filesize of about 153 MB when exported. This leads to the problem that we could not upload it into the steam workshop (100 MB filesize limit) , therefore we reduced the sound quality to 22khz on some files to squeeze the mod into the workshop's size limitation...On the positive side I still have the original files, I could provide a linux / mac version on the grimrock nexus that contains the correct sound files. It will just take some time as I need to check all files to make sure they have the correct format, and I also promised to create a particle effect for someone...
We will try our best to provide a linux / mac version on the grimrock nexus as soon as possible!
Thanks, that would be nice
and, thanks for that

Hello elPuSHeR,
we are very happy to hear that you like it so far! Our greatest concern was that the players would not like it because it has quite different gameplay than the core game. And it even gets better in the next levels, you'll see
Regarding your problem with the ghost, I have two tips for you, the first is more of a hint, the second one is the actual solution for your problem....try the hint first, if that doe not help take a peek at the solution.
The hint:
What does the ghost do that prevents you from doing your job on this level? What does the ghost hate the most, that could lure him into his old cell to destroy it?
The solution:
Put a torch in the torch holder in his prison cell. He will come and will try to extuingish the torch....this is your chance

Hello again.
I think I have found a bug on level 3 (storage)
I can't reach a crate here.
The compass is indicating there is some epic thing there, but I cannot reach the crate, no matter which angle I try.

Hello elPuSHeR,
yes this is kind of a bug or, to be more accurate, something we did not think of when we designed this level: The contents of the room and the location of the epic items are randomly generated. It seems that you were so unlucky that the generation placed the crate on one of the few places where you are not able to reach it.
. I guess we will have to fix this in the random item placement logic. But here comes the good part: We have a solution for you that will enable you to continue playing right away....this solution is not meant to go public yet, but I have sent you a personal message on this forum with the details

Thank you very much. I have read your PM. I am going to reload an earlier savegame first to check.

Thank you for posting the error message drdrake! I will look into this immediately. Can you please tell me whether this occurs every time you are trying to save? Or just sometimes? And it would be nice to know in which level of the mod this occurs / you are currently on. The level name and number is displayed on the map. Also I will PM you right away with a dirty little secret that might be useful to get rid of this issue.

I want to inform you that reloading an earlier savegame (at the beginning of level 3) just DID THE TRICK. I am now at level 4.

Thanks for the update elPuSHeR! In the meantime I was able to fix the issue in the item generation /placement as well so future players should not be affected by this anymore.
Regarding the issue drdrake reported, I was able to identify two possible scenarios that could lead to this error and corrected this.
I have uploaded a new version 1.2 to the Workshop and Grimrock Nexus.
