Either I'm an idiot, or the short sword doesn't have any texture.

I used the long sword texture in materials, but the grip isn't darkened.

You could attach a lever to a "destructive force" flip the switch and BOOOOOOOOOM
hudPrint("That wasn't supposed to happen...") lol

EDIT: here's the code

Code: Select all

defineObject{
      name = "web_shaft_alcove",
      class = "Alcove",
      anchorPos = vec(-1, 4.2, -2.5),
	anchorRotation = vec(15, 50, 2),
      targetPos = vec(0, 1, 0),
      targetSize = vec(0.6, 0.5, 0.6),
      model = "mod_assets/models/env/web_shaft.fbx",
      placement = "wall",
      replacesWall = false,
      editorIcon = 92,
	onInsertItem = function(self, item)
	return false
end,
}
Damn sweet alcove you got there!
Too bad I'm playing without mouse-look, I'd be hopelessly stuck in your dungeon! :D

You can disable mouslook?
I think the only way to have this puzzle be fair is to have something that tells or suggests the player looks up.
Like a note, "A spider napped my key and took it to her web in the ceiling and I can't reach the web to cut it down! FML -Guard #1"

Yes, it's possible in the "Options" menu.
And yes, a hint would be nice and fair!

Again: Awesome work!

I've made a bunch of gobelins, here is one from my zoological series:

Also, on the floor, is a fighter's tome I made for the fighter category of the Tome Library, it's not entirely finished but tell me what you think.

I don't recognize the animal, but might I suggest placing it on a redish hue gobelin?
I love custom books. All custom books are good custom books.

I like books so much that it was to my eternal disappointment that the tome material did not stretch properly over the slime model.

I like that gobelin! It looks very old and faded, great
