I obsessively monitor Steam's Coming Soon section for upcoming titles, so one day Grimrock popped up on the list.
I saw the trailer and screens and preordered on the next morning

I was ambling online, as one does, on my favourite retro forum / community trading site, and one of my fellow members
posted this up ...
well I was stunned when I reviewed the video trailer.... I had to have.... when I realized it was a download only game, my heart sank... you see I dont agree with the way digital distribution is today (looking at Steam / EA ) an I am a firm believer in voting with my wallet =)
However... after a little more reading I discoverd that I could have a stand alone copy without any of that Steam / EA DRM that I believe will eventually kill the market... so I thought hmmm ..... you see buing a download only game was quite a serious step for me...
intriped as I was I decided this IS the game I have been wanting to play for some time - so for the small investment of $11.99 pre-order I went with GOG!
This is my first ever download only game purchase!
If only all developers would adopt this model - it would be so much better!
So why --- well mainly to bring back some fo the simple pleasures of Gaming I had as a younger chap - I plan to share this gaming experience with my younger brother so we can move the sofa forward - get the graph paper / pencils and dice out and crack on with this game...
yeah.... I cannot wait!
