Yes, we have our own occlusion culling system optimized for grid-based levels.

Heh, occlusion for grid-based levels sounds like something from a roguelike.. =)

I also would be interested in any experiences (or someone from the dev team) if 256 would still be enough to run the game smoothly with lowered graphics.

Actually I meant to say notebook(laptop) and said netbook. In fact it run pretty well in medium detail settings

Any progress with this? Did anybody perform any test on a 256MB video card?

It's on our todo list. Hopefully we've got a pixel shader 3.0 compatible graphics card with 256 MB and some time next week to test it.

Thanks a lot! I am waiting in agony. Please do it as soon as possible so that I can catch the pre-ordering period.

What about processor power. If this does not run on my Macbook Pro with win7, I also have old Scaleo which has AMD64x2 3800+ processor. It doesn't meet minimun system requirements (amd 2.8 ghz) , but I believe that is only because you have not tested it with older processors ?
If processing power is enough I can buy some mid-price GeForce to it.

Hmm, the only 256 MB graphics card that we have at the office does not support pixel shader 3.0 so we haven't been able to test this yet. Antti says he might have one at home and if that's the case then we should be able to test it tomorrow.

Generally with systems not meeting the minimum specs our advice is to wait for the launch and see if some kind person is willing to help and test with older hardware.

Well, looking at official requirements I think that LoG could be played even on notebooks with integrated graphics card.
You will probably need to use programs like gamebooster and/or some software to emulate gpu specs for game, but as far as I tried, many aplications can be run at relatively old integrated gpus (Crysis on Intel 945 for example, and yes, its playable, as long as you have decent cpu and ram amount).
I think LoG will be even more friendly to low-specs users than LoL, and LoL is playable even on early intels.
Personally I will try to launch it on ION2, if fail, then will install on PC ;)
