Off in the southeast there is a door that looks like it needs an emerald or some other green key.
I've acquired two skull keys during my travels so far. I suspect that some or all of these are related and that if I get one then the others will follow suit. If that's the case, just let me know the minimum.
Just came back from vacation and looking to start up on this again. Can anybody help me out? Thanks!

As it looks with me right now, you go through the illusionary wall, and it immediately opens up to the east to a shelf in the wall.

As to how to open it... try pushing the hidden button in the "Flail" room. ;-)
I can only say, in this sense "The Chaos key" looks better for me than "The Master key". For now, I'm not bored yet :)
I LOVED the Master Key. Except for managing to get myself stuck once on Level 7 (shifting walls) and wrapping my head around some of the puzzles on Level 1, I found it to be an absolute blast of a dungeon. That's why I'm hopeful that the Chaos Key can deliver at least some of the goods again, but for that I have to actually GET anywhere to reach it.

Got a strange problem. Used the cross key in the wrong place and am now really stuck. Tried to spawn with the console but keep getting unidentified item, console works cause something simple like a rock pops right up. Any way to figure out the correct console entry?

@Unkillable Cat,

thank you for the tip, though I found the button myself before reading your comment :) So we have an illusionary wall with a real button on it, what a tricky idea)))

I tried to replay level 2 but unfortunately, no luck again...

My understanding is:

- "big four" and "light path" sections give you just gems, there are no keys
- the first key is found in a "secret codes" section
- I'd say logically another key has to be in the "dangerous encounter" section, but it looks so straightforward I can't imagine what is the trick that gives the key? You go in, dodge mages' shots, then the door opens, then you open the secret... nothing more there, and no clues besides "don't panic"...

What bothers me more right now, is that we're asking questions about the START of this mod, in a thread that's grown well over 10 pages, where people are asking about problems that come up later in the mod, but apparentely not a single person can help us out.

Something is wrong here, that's for sure...

hi,
sorry for the late answer, I don't come here often now...

Your key problem at level 2 is probably because you forgot 1 square key before
Into the level 1, the 2 stairs down where you can find 2 gear keys, you also can find 2 square keys ;)

Thank you! After combing both areas that you mentioned, I finally found the second Square Key. (I also found a button leading to a secret room that I had previously missed).

I knew that one of two things was true - either I was missing something really obvious, or there was something really wrong with this mod. Good to know which one it is now.

Now onwards into the darkness...

strangely, I haven't found the key neither on the first floor, nor in the "secret codes" chamber. When I restarted the game, I found both keys

so atm everything is fine, I'm around levels 6-7, and the mod feels really great! the only desire is "tips" on the walls and notes should a bit more obscure, sometimes the straightforwardness spoils the atmosphere :-(

Now I seem to be stuck again, and after having scanned this thread it seems I'm not the only one.

I'm on Level 6, and am scrounging up six green gems to put in the eyes, for some reason to be discovered. I have 5 of them, and while I can buy the sixth one, I'd prefer to try to get it by the intended means. The only path left for me is "The Deep Trip", which involves climbing up a couple of floors before dropping several floors down to Level 8. Wheeee. It's once I'm down there that I'm stuck. I've found two secret passages, two pressure plates that don't seem to respond to anything, two doors requiring keys, and more spiders than a centipede could stomp flat on a good day. Can anyone give me hints on what exactly I'm supposed to do here?

On another note, I've found two small bugs. In the description for the consumable "Bird meat" there is a typo, it says "bid meat". Also, at two places (so far) in the dungeon there are these giant heads standing on the floor with a fire on top. There's one right by the door on Level 2 that requires the gems, for example. Anyway, these heads, you can attack them to "smash" them, and then walk through the tile as if it's unoccupied. The head thingie still remains, though.

into the deep trip you must make a spider walk on the plate.
then after that, a secret wall opens somewhere :) just find where to find a key
