that I cannot say but I doubt it would make a difference
for me it worked best that way
Mortimer had a bow and a dagger as second weapon
my paladin was equiped with some magic clothing to increase his accuracy
Avae had some points in air magic and energy potions
and I did a lot of sliding

then get one somehow, you will have a hard time without it later

no not the mortal, but the ingredients.. and a lot of stuff i can not sell it... before i start the game all over with version 2a i go check the crypt level...

then you should try to get some ingredients
you ll find etherweed in many underwater places

its better to play the game over again with a better timing.. my playing time was now almost 17 hours for 19/54 levels..

Hello, I'm Playing 1a version.
i can't solve Mummy puzzle, there is always one of them bellow the path, so i can't force it to stay on a plate because it is down ...
Tried to reset with the switch but same things happens, 3 up, 1 down ...

destroy the mummy that has fallen down - not sure if that is necessary - reset the bridges and use the switch, new mummies will spawn and you can try again
and be careful, the mummies very often fall down when they try to hit you and you step back one field
so trap one, save, trap the next and so on
and just be careful where you walk
