I would like
- more subquest implementations and more characterized NPCs with some interesting story to share
- more bosses similar to Dark souls

Why?
I really like boss fights becuase of the challenge, unique monster/character design;usually means the end of the current chapter; unique loot.

My preference for dungeon crawler design has always been that the maps stand on their own merits without any monsters at all; and that monsters mainly serve as an impediment for puzzle pacing. Challenging battles are well and greatly appreciated
, but they not the main reason why I'd play the game.

Agreed on that point. There are plenty of games out there that focus on boss battles; I appreciate the LoG games for putting the dungeon/environment/puzzle elements at the fore.

Hexes are for strategy games.
So much true
And about bosses - current amount is close to fine IMO. Adding more of them would be annoying indeed.

I would just be thrilled with something similar to Grimrock 1 -> 2.
In other words, keeping the game similar, just improving on it more (more races, more classes, skills etc... more unique environments and puzzles, unique battles and items)
More diverse environments (tilesets) would be awesome.
I just hope LOGR3 happens at some point! I will be SO happy if/when it does!

Yes. I would love to see - at least - more classes. More races would be nice too. But definitely more classes.
And new tilesets would be awesome. The change from the "dungeon" scene in LOG1 to the open scene of beach, jungles, dungeons, and such in LOG2 made LOG2 so much more enjoyable, because it wasn't the "same view" (for lack of a better word) each time you took a step forward (with the occasional slight difference here and there on the wall).

There are a few things I'd like in a LoG 3
-2-3 cool and unique bosses again (Imagine a creature 'boss' Like a giant ogre that takes up a 3X3X3 square and you needed to climb up latters and stairs to hit his vital areas while dodging his attacks.)
-More tilesets
-Dungeons that focus on puzzles while others focus on creatures and others a combination. (Imagine walking over swinging axe bridges like in Sen's Fortress in Dark Souls)
-More classes (I want an archer class. Okay? Okay.)
-Balance classes. They don't feel balanced to me.
-Even MORE armor sets.
-It'd be nice to have a currency system with like a central hub where you can buy/sell stuff to merchants. (Say the hub in Grimrock 2 but a bit bigger and you can rescue NPCS that would appear there and they'd all sell you things.)
-Grimrock 4 announcement after the end game credits too. That'd be nice.
