Attempt at lighting an opaque texture result: Bad.
Could be used somewhere I'm sure. Just not here.

I would like to have some browns in there

Breakthrough discovery!
Instead of having the texture being Translucent to appear to glow in the dark, I can just turn lighting off!
No more clipping due to being semi-solid!
Yay

Nope, just a modified wall_dirt texture, but you raise a very very good point on the subject of Herders. I think I'll test some fiddling with that too

Okay. I've improved the eye slits on this now -thanks to herders- I'm going to go ahead and work on it's light now.
It's currently green (not that you can see it in the screen shot.--my invisible door isn't open.)
But it's too vibrant of a green.

Next I retexture the platemail and search for a good sound effect. I'm thinking something Earthquake related.
In other news, I think I've found some even better sound effects for the Isgardian.
