Well I got stuck on the alcove but didn't know I needed a quarrel until I read the hints and spoiled myself. Thing was I didn't completely finish the lark puzzle and didn't notice the door opening there. I popped the secret and forgot about the rest of the puzzle there lol.

So I finally got to play your mod and it is cool so far. Love the puzzles and the programmable wand. I am stuck on level 10, advanced proving grounds. The room is the poison gas room that has to be cleaned to find the next key. I found the secret room but am stuck. Any hint on what to do next would be great. Thanks for the mod.

I'm glad to hear you like my mod!

To solve this room you have to
SpoilerShow
revert back to one of the LoG basics, the torch.
You actually can use it as a weapon to rip the gobelins on the wall.
The item you search will be behind them.

Just finished the game, having found 63 secrets (and somehow missing the
SpoilerShow
Disco Ogre room
).

Truly fantastic. I love, love, love that you made a mod which focuses on the best parts of Grimrock (the puzzles) while minimizing the worst part ("sidestep-heavy combat").

Absolutely brilliant Mod!!
Finished 90/102. Is there a list of secrets per floor somewhere? I do not want to be spoiled as I found all those 90 on my own and finished it without any spoilers.
However I would like full completion and making sure I have all secrets per floor would help do that.


I absolutely loved the sound puzzles and the wand enchanting. The uncovering of the story was fantastic and the use of the added script functionality and puzzles was awesome!
Thanks for making this and Wine Merchant's Basement! really really really amazing Mod indeed!!
Hope you will be in creation mode for Grimrock 2 when their is much more mature additions to it.
As I would love to see what kind of cool puzzling and story you make next.

Thanks for all the praise, glad you like it.

You asked for a list of secrets and it currently doesn't exist. It would be hard to make without spoiling things, since some are only reachable through other ... eh .... levels.
However, you can always open the source code of the mod, there's a link in the first post of this thread. It wouldn't be too hard to check them and see which you missed.

Fact of the day: when I ran through the dungeon just after uploading it, I only got 95 secrets. But don't worry, all secrets were tested before release. :)
