I know, right? I've had the idea for awhile, but only brought it into fruition now.

@NeiKun: Cool!!! And really nice the code too, I'll have to comprehend it because it looks really time saving!
Anyway, I've just done this:

I'll definitely use it to hide a key somewhere!
I'll just give you the coords right now because I've done only the left side and is compatible with the ornate key only for now.
Have fun!
anchorPos = vec(-0.61, 1.3, -0.1),
anchorRotation = vec(90, 0, 90),
targetPos = vec(-0.6, 1.33, -0.1),
targetSize = vec(0.2, 0.3, 0.2),
I'll post the finished code when I've done it!

Now that I think about it, why not handle wall hook alcoves like left and right eye sockets?
That way you put two on it and you have two separate alcoves?
I thought about hanging keys on hooks, but I'd rather do it on single hooks, which means remodeling the pillar hook to be closer to the wall.
Side note on wall_hook alcoves. In the future, I'd like to attach an animation that when something sits in it, the hooks slide down slightly on the wall. As if it were a kind of trigger.

Ah that would be fantastic! But I already tell you don't expect that from me

I can handle the scripting but not the animation.
I've used the hook_alcove you made for that anyway.
EDIT: since my friend is now capable of changes the models, I'll give him the hook model and make him move a little backward, so it will stick to the wall!

That would be most appreciated. It's currently out of my skill level.

Also you can hang two lanterns on the hooks.

Yes, I'm working on it. Should be able to post something within the hour!
EDIT: it's getting longer than expected. My friend changed the model so now it's on the wall, but the game does not load the model... so the hook is invisible.

In the meantime, I've done this:
-Okay, here's the ornate lock. Gimme the key!
-here you g... *key slips from hand*
DING... TUMP
-What the...??

Should do a puzzle about finding some sort of hook which you can use to pull the key out of there!
