Of course some
people would need to beta test it... did I mention I have access to 5 different Macs: 3 iMacs and 2 Macbook Pros?
Seriously what are the Mac requirements? Has LoG2 higher requirements than LoG1? My newest 27" iMac runs on OS X 10.10.1 with a 1 GB video card, but my old 2007 iMac (given to closeby family) has a 128 MB video card.

Higher requirements? Totally yes! (see
website's recommendation, but ignore multicore as the engine is max. 1.6-core demanding a fast clock)
For good luck AH promised
to do optimizations for Mac people with flimsy laptops...
edit: clarification on the max. core usage seen up to now with the engine, thx Dr. Disaster

No, it's not. The ~1.6 core utilization is most probably coming due to driver internal multi-threading. And even if, I wouldn't call 1.6 core usage out of 8 (your system if I remember right) not a successful multicore engine.

Your own finds mark your single-core claim a lie.

Distance:
quad-core (AH claim) to 1.6 (max. core-ness seen) = 2.4 cores
single-core (my claim) to 1.6 (max. core-ness seen) = 0.6 cores
My claim represents the reality more accurate then other claims....

Sorry but that's your personal reality.

If I look at recommended requirements for LoG1:
OS: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or newer
Processor: Intel Core i5
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 2900 or NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or better (512MB graphics memory or more)
Disk Space: 1 GB HD space
For LoG2 there are no requirements mentioned yet !
OS: Windows 7
CPU: Quad Core 2.66 Ghz Intel or 3.2 GHz AMD
Memory: 4GB RAM
Graphics: Geforce GTX 660 Ti or AMD Radeon 6850 or better (1GB graphics memory or more. Shader Model 3.0 needs to be supported). Minimum supported resolutions 1280×720 and 1024×768.
DirectX: 9.0c
Disk Space: 2GB
My 27" Mac:
OS: Mac OS X 10.10.1 (Yosemite)
CPU: Quad Core 3.2 Ghz Intel Core i5
Memory: 16 GB RAM (1600 Mhz DDR3)
Graphics: Geforce GT 755M (1 GB graphics memory). Maximum resolution 2560x1440
I mentioned 'recommended' as this what my late 2013 model had which I bought in 2014. Yosemite is a bit different than Mavericks 10.9 and not everything runs on both.

Well, this was measured also by
you, some reminder: max. 1.28 cores (0.16 * 8cores =1.28 cores).

I don't know what you mean, if you compare the HW requirements (PC) it increased significantly for CPU & GPU, it is to expect that Mac will behave the same (only in case of serious optimizations this might change). Also, google the forum for performance, many people (especially with laptops) who where able to play Log1 aren't anymore able to play Log2. Also, my system which was fine enough for Log1 falls for the outside parts under a minimum amount of FPS.
