Even with two characters consuming extra food due to some gear, I had way more than I needed to finish the game.
Level 9 is a great place to gather food, and in the latest levels you can even find a crate full of food.

Yup, that'd be my room of choice. Snail meat seems to be the most nutritious food in the game. Unfortunately, it's also the heaviest.

Are you habitually resting after a battle when you've lost health? I think this will definitely affect your food consumption
I was doing this for a while, because I hadn't notice the blue save-game crystals also restore your health.
Since realising, I've been using crystals for restoration a bit more, and haven't had any more food problems
Good nostaligia with the screamers though. Id forgotten all about that

I ran out of food right when I got to floor 6. I have 3 minos in my party though and no one had the talent for less consumption. Its definitely possible to run out on a first playthrough. That snail room saved me. And yeah, resting is the worst food consumer possible.

I am on level 9, where is this snail room on lvl 6 exactly?
I don't remember.
And thanks for the info.
(edit) Went searching for it and found it. Had to kill few snails to get food, but now all is good.

I've just run out of food myself..but I go crazy with resting..I forgot it consumes food..and didn't really realize it til I ran out just now in the Vault..not good...backtracking to level 6 is a real pain.

There are other places later in the game which also respawn food enemies.
Temple Grounds on Level 9 has respawning Ice Lizards, which drop some delicious Ice Lizard Steaks, also great XP.

Oh ok thank you for the explanation, i'm French and Doctor Who is not very popular in my country. Although i saw some episodes and loved them
