I got the horn - how did I miss the gun? I will have to run back.
Hmm. I just hit that chest myself and there wasn't any gun inside. There was a bracer (+1 protection/strength) and a gold key.gawainzl wrote: I found a really cool gun in a chest in Twigwood. So far I have seen one quite nice firearm, and there are strong hints that there is something that fires cannonballs...
would explain why I never found a gun either. Until I got to that one on the pedestal....Sir Tawmis wrote:I think that chest is a random drop thing... I got a club thingie.
Also seems to be random loot. I didn't get a gun here.zeltak wrote:Have you somehow missed the gun in the very first dungeon of the game?
SpoilerShowFlintlock pistol is in the wooden box in the halls of the dead. That place where you found the Horn of Summoning. It's not even behind a secret..
Weird. I found the Dragonbreath revolver in that chest.Neutronium Dragon wrote:Hmm. I just hit that chest myself and there wasn't any gun inside. I have found a certain six-chamber revolver though. Not as much damage per shot as the arquebus, but the rate of fire more than makes up for it. I really AM going to run low on ammo if I'm not careful!
Which I think would be fine, if items of various types weren't so scarce. I hate sitting around with this super weak weapon for hours, then suddenly getting something 5x as strong. Where were the 2 and 3 times strength ones? : /Some of the loot must be randomized and/or distributed differently each time. IE: the dragonbreath revolver will appear *somewhere*, but you don't know where when you set out. I remember bringing that idea up way back during development - the Ultima Underworld games did that with a few things and it added a small element of unpredictability.
