This forum is a bunch of fellow gamers, many of which are in the same boat you are waiting for the Steam issue to get sorted out. Telling everyone who replies to you to fuck off only belittles yourself.
The people who can get these problems fixed are off working on fixing them, not reading the forums and no one reading the forums has the power to go flip the switches on Steam to turn on those downloads. Just take a few deep breaths, it will all be ok.
I told the person who called me retard to fuck off, they want to fling mud at me, I'll toss it right back. If you pay attention to the actual flow of "conversation", you'll see what is actually happening. Seriously, If nobody mentioned about the problem, would it have been resolved all that quickly? Telling people not to complain when something goes wrong is unacceptable, because then nothing can ever get fixed. Why don't you tell the kid who started the childish namecalling off, instead of the person who responded to it?

Didn't the Steam preorder also come with the downloadable standalone installer from Almost Human?

I went back and you're correct, so I'll give you a high five for calling out the troll. I have no doubt that the problem was fixed as quickly as possible, and in the world of software distribution, a fix within a couple of hours is pretty awesome. I'm not happy there was a problem in the first place, but I'm in the enviable situation of being at work and watching my download roll along via my remote connection to my home pc. Now I can't wait to get home!
