I hope this isn't off-topic for the forum: This nod to gaming's past has me thinking about PC gaming in the 80's... Does anyone remember when games came on floppies, and many came with security spin wheels (or other devices) that you had to manipulate in order to unlock a given game? If you lost that thing, you were up a creek without a paddle!
Yup! My father was notorius in throwing away manuals, so if they had copy protection in them, I was screwed.

I've been gaming for 36 years. My first gaming experience was Pong. First there were machines, then cartridges, 5 1/4 floppies, 3 1/2 disks, cd's, dvd's...what a ride !!
In my personal opinion the best eras of gaming were the Commodore 64 prime years (1985 to 1987) and the PCs 1990's decade.
Receive my respects.
