okay.. didn't work so I reinstalled the game, still no luck. Sancsaron is not casting fireburst..

I noticed this as well in the latest saved game I was working on before I reinstalled -

One more thing we could do to verify that your datafiles are intact. Could you please compute the MD5 checksum of the grimrock.dat file. I'm using WinMD5 to compute the checksum. It can be found here: http://www.winmd5.com/

The grimrock.dat is here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Legend of Grimrock\grimrock.dat

The correct checksum is: 6ae510b0bb2e70fb6094d5f6d041c368
If yours is different then the data file is broken for some reason.
