I would love to see a remake of quit a few games that I have loved in the past, but my first 2 choices would be....
Phantasie series, and Lords of midnight.

Ultima 1-*9...
*Such a tragedy...You can even rename it "Ultimate," and name your company "Original" just to stick it to those rat bastards over at EA!

Another kick starter game, Looks very much alike sundog the frozen legacy.
I must say digital distribution has really brought about a renaissance in the type of game I and many others like to see, where gameplay and ideas are at the forefront. Now only if David Braben could do a kickstarter for elite 4!

It sounds like Notch (minecraft) is doing something like this too.

Yes i think i might have heard of it (i just checked), 'Mars effect', perhaps a bit of a cheeky title! However sounds promising from the description
"Each ship has a generator capable of producing a fixed wattage, and everything you connect to it drains wattage. A cloaking field, for example, might require almost all the power from the generator, forcing you to turn off all computers and dim all lights in order to successfully cloak.
The computer in the game is a fully functioning emulated 16 bit CPU that can be used to control your entire ship, or just to play games on while waiting for a large mining operation to finish."
Thanks for the heads up!

Ha! Apparently the Mars Effect bit was a April fool, but the game is real.
