I'm not sure how those textures help? You can't use stuff like that in the Grimrock engine, it would look awful. Grimrock requires true 3D mesh wallsets to be created in hi-resolution, from scratch.

Yes the Grimrock engine is completely different. All of these wallsets , can't be used.

As we see from the above photos, 7 of them are exactly the same par the colour..
So taking the current textures from LOG and applying the various colours we are quarter of the way there.

Keep in mind I haven't finished Eye of the Beholder 3 ever (did play it a few times but never get to actually finishing it ...) so if some here are tilesets from mid/endgame Eye3 ... I won't recognise them.. also where is 24 from ? it has the same texture as the dwarven parts of Eye1 .. just only darker.. so im guessing that's Eye3 ?
Secondly I NEVER noticed the drow level texture is just the dwarven one recolored .... same with the mantis texture being the one used in Eye2 for the dungeon part (cleverly mirrored)... it's just now that I look at em side by side the "coin drops" :p

Guys, Lands of lore definitely has to be remade. But it's a very ambitious task. Because it has to keep the magic of the original. So it has to be the same, only the graphics to be better. Gameplay, music, story, everything has to be the same.
To me the Grimrock engine is very good for this. Still, there needs to be a nice team to work on the remake. Developers, Designers, QA team, and project management. Otherwise it would be another abandoned ambition.

I think (Elders Scrolls 5) Skyrim engine is better for the purpose. It can actually be more than a remake, but it should keep the spirit of the original.

Funny to see this thread get resurrected just before the release of LoG2
I did start recreating Gladstone Keep, it was just some modeling exercise to see if I could model something from a picture or screenshot.
Here are some screenshot from within the Log1 engine and they have the dosbox screenshot for reference.
