Yes, I do have the choice to load a custom map. However even if I do subscribe to a map it does not load in game. So I can't actually LOAD a custom map. But the choice is there in the main menu.
I guess that suggest a connection problem between Steam and Grimrock right?
I guess this is a good time to point out that I can access the steam community through the game (via key shortcut "shift-tab"). So Steam does recognize that I am in fact playing Grimrock.
It does also update the "time played" in steam when I do play. I'm guessing that is not connected to Grimrock itself but only to me "starting and quitting" the game.
*Edit
No, I cannot access steam workshop through the game.

... and that's why petri asked you to verfiy that you really do run the Steam version.Kunkaktus wrote:Yes, I do have the choice to load a custom map. However even if I do subscribe to a map it does not load in game. So I can't actually LOAD a custom map. But the choice is there in the main menu.

Just let us verify some things:
- the LoG version you will get from Steam is 1.3.7. This is also shown in the lower left corner once the game enters the main menu so please verify that you have this version. If it does not tell you "Version 1.3.7" then it's either not the Steam version since it would be automatically updated unless you opted that out.
- the custom map download and integration into LoG is handled by Steam. You will see a download notice for each subscription in the bottom center of the Steam client. If you do not have these notifications and also no entries in the "Custom Dungeon" menu Steam does not recognise your LoG installation.
Re: Steam Achievements
Thank you for the very clear instructions. Now I see what you mean.
I am currently running version 1.3.7 of LoG.
