I'm just gonna give at little thing to think about.
The dungeons in Grimrock are extremely confined. This may cause problems with people that have sever claustrophobia.
But the developers can't exactly change that though.

There are a lot of horror elements Grimrock. Spiders seem to be there to scare you.

If you can "man up" then I suggest you do so, because the creepy/scary monsters are only going to get worse as you progress.

Just look at it like you're playing a horror game.
These spiders ARE very scary, however, and I used to have a pet tarantula.

I am afraid of spiders as well and finished the game just fine. I wonder if people complained about the same back then. I guess not...

This is my suggestion. Seriously? It's a video game. The spiders are fake. I have arachnophobia too.
No you don't. I don't have it either, but I know phobias are a lot more complicated than just find something scary.

Grimrock isn't much of a claustrophobia trigger. Minecraft can be. My spouse will not stay in the room if I'm digging a long 2x1 tunnel.

I guess in LoG2 people will fight pink blobs so noone gets offended or scared away.

That's a really realistic response to what is probably the single most common phobia in the world.

Seriously, there's plenty of ridiculous complaints out there; a really common phobia may not be the most ridiculous complaint on offer.

HOWEVER, because of arachnophobia is so common, complaints may not be considered valid.
I'm have arachnophobia, even thinking about spiders(real spiders) can create unease and make me feel nauseous.

Thing is though, spiders in grimrock are not real. The move unnaturally(on square at a time), they make squeaking sounds, etc.
So it just doesn't register as a real spider to me.

A phobia is an irrational fear. As someone else on here said, it can be sometimes set off by something like a drawing of a circle with 8 legs.

Haha, that's so comical. :D

Seen the spiders in Dark Messiah or Limbo, flesh crawl.
