I wanted a group of all human fist fighters but the only way to do that (seemingly) was with 2 fighters up front and 2 rogues with Assassination@12 in the back (Bebop, Rocksteady, Sonya, Blade).
My point distribution was pretty hasty the fighters got a 6/4 split into Str/Vit and my Rogues got a 4/3/3 Str/Vit/Dex.
All characters got Fist Fighter and Skilled. The Fighters put all their skill into unarmed and the Rogues into assassination, when that hit 12 the rogues then went full unarmed....

It starting to look like I'll also need to train my guys in armor skills... but with them all being so a like it's easy enough to rotate their formation in combat when any one of them takes enough damage.

Back in the day I tried playing Dungeon Master this way. About three levels from the end they introduce the Death Knights, which hit hard and are basically more or less immune to magic. I had to start again.
LOL. I always flirted with the idea of doing that in DM. Were there no doors to crush them with?
Yeah, but then my squishy mages had to stand there blocking them! There was actually one corridor where they wouldn't follow you past a certain point, so you couldn't lure them to a door. It was the same level with the huge bloody spider things. Although they only had four legs, so I guess they weren't spiders.

4 Unarmed Minotaur rogues, the strongest party you can ask for.

You could have moved back up at the end of LVL4 (snakes), there, close to the one stair down to LVL 5 was a "Screamer-Room" with constantly resurrecting Screamers, given the mages weapons in the hands and fought them until they're Expert Warriors. I've trained all my chars in this chamber up to 2 or even 3 Master in all classes ;)

Ah well, seems I'm not the only one who thought about mage in front line. I have a human mage (skillful, evasive) (staff defence, spellcraft, fire) in front, in leather armorr and staff+sword (for style) and it works okish. I didn't like insectoid, but now when I think about it, it offers some good synergy.

I'm using 4 rogues on a seperate easy difficulty game, just for fun. So far at level 3, it's a great change in playstyle compared to my standard group.
The 2 rogues in front I skilled one on evasion and one on missile weapons (since this has +dex too), the 2 in the back full strength and assassination + daggers. :) The 2 in the front are lizardmen and the 2 in the back humans!

The armor skills are in staff defense or whatever it is, and it's quite effective, the sheer force of four spells.

Are you level 50 in unarmed on any of your characters? I really want to know what the final bonus is in unarmed because they don't say WHAT it is.

Wanted to do all fighters with at least two spears in the back and imitate the skeleton phalanx, but decided to save it for a rerun. Don't know if I will now, there's no spear mastery skill and spears aren't really that good, I just keep on in my mage's hand for an extra poke when he's out of energy.
